Description
Tröegs recently broke ground to begin the construction of its new craft brewery in Hershey, PA. The new Tröegs brewery location, near Hersheypark and The Outlets at Hershey, makes it well suited as a destination to complement Hershey's existing attractions.

The Hershey facility is designed to be a unique brewing experience for Tröegs' guests, featuring a 5,000 square foot tasting room that opens into an outdoor seeing area, all with ample views of the brewhouse. Brewery goers will be able to observe the brewing process first-hand and even take a self-guided tour along a window-lined hallway for an up-close view of the brewery. Tröegs will also continue to provide guided tours of the brewhouse on designated days.

?...We want to create an interactive facility where our customer really gets an understanding of what goes into making quality beer, Chris noted about the new facility, ?We want to showcase what we do best.?

At three times the size of Tröegs current location, the new 90,000 square foot facility will give guests a glimpse at the fermentation process, packaging room and oak barrel-aging room, and lab. The addition of a pilot brewing room offers insight to Tröegs experimentation?where its famous Scratch brews are dreamt-up and made.

Tröegs cites the new location as an opportunity to further its commitment to Central Pennsylvania. ?Hershey is a special place, not just for people who call it home, but for the millions who come to visit each year,? said John.?We want to create an experience that compliments the other Hershey attractions, creating an even more vibrant and exciting destination for all visitors,? added Chris.

The new Tröegs craft brewery location has an expected completion date of Fall 2011. Until then, read the article in Brewing and Beverage Industry International and news articles here. Check back often for the latest photos, news and updates.
