Description
This whiskey glowed amber from the start. When volunteer firefighter Jess Graber responded to a neighbor's barn fire down the road, he never imagined any good could come of it. But the barn he made effort to save belonged to George Stranahan, long-time liquor connoisseur. When the fire settled, the two discovered a shared passion for the Colorado outdoors and a good pour of fine whiskey. And so Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey was born. They developed a recipe for the smoothest, most flavorful whiskey in the world using the purity of their mountain surroundings to their advantage. Well, to your advantage. They say from each thing bad comes something good. For Jess, George, and fine whiskey drinkers alike, it's amazing just how good it can be.

Hours
Tours last approximately 30-45 minutes and include an overview of the company, a guided stroll through our production brew house, still house and rack house. You'll take a jaunt onto the bottling room floor and most importantly, a you'll get a taste of Colorado's most precious gold, Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey. All guests are required to have a valid ID with proof of age, so please don't leave it at home! No ID means no whiskey and that's just sad.

We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. The tour entrance is through our neighbors, the Rackhouse Pub, on the South side of SCW Distillery. All distillery tours begin in the Rackhouse Pub entry way. If you have not arrived and checked in by the stated tour start time, your spot(s) may be given away to those on a waiting list.

What To Expect
In the winter, temperatures can be chilly in the distillery so it is recommended that you dress accordingly. In the summer, it gets as hot as Hades in the rackhouse, so be prepared.

Unfortunately, we cannot permit anyone under the age of 21 on our tours. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Reserve Your Spot!
Reservations are HIGHLY recommended - especially on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a maximum number of 30 spots per tour time. The only way to guarantee a tour spot is to make an online reservation. Space permitting, tour spots can be reserved online up to two weeks in advance on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Online tour reservations close one hour prior to the departure of the tour. If any spots remain on that tour, they are then considered "walk-in" only. The walk-in spots can be reserved only in-person at the distillery and are again on a first-come, first-serve basis. Many tours fill up ahead of time and in many cases walk-in spots are not available on the day of the tour. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.
