Kaphaem Road, Tomahawk, WI   54487 1-877-883-1450 Click here to go to the company web site This tour is free       Description The Tomahawk Operations facility was established in 1963 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, and quickly became the sole supplier of fiberglass parts for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. Since then and after several expansions, the Kaphaem Road and Somo Avenue facilities comprise 192,000 square feet, standing proudly on 96 acres of land. More than 400 employees manufacture plastic and fiberglass parts, including sidecars, saddlebags, and windshields. Tomahawk’s Somo Avenue facility paints, assembles, and ships the components to the York Vehicle Operations facility where it all comes together on Original Equipment motorcycles. The Diversified Products division on Kaphaem Road includes sidecar production, Genuine Motor Parts & Accessories, and does custom painting for unique orders. Your tour begins with an introductory movie. Then you’ll head for the factory floor and discover the individual touches that give Harley-Davidson motorcycles their distinctive style as parts are molded, coated, machined, and painted. Afterwards, move down the line to sneak a peek at the finished products. Finally, spend time in the custom painting area where the unique, rider-specified designs that Harley enthusiasts crave are designed, styled, and painted. Take a trip to Tomahawk and go behind the scenes of style and tradition, where custom is king.     Hours Tours are free and last approximately one hour. Tours of the Tomahawk Operations facility are conducted May 26 through September 4. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended that you arrive early in the day, as we experience capacity constraints during the summer months. Tour schedule is subject to change. The Gift Shop hours are 10AM to 3PM Monday through Friday.     Other Information Children under the age of 12 are welcome in the tour center, but are not allowed on the factory tour. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Cameras or recording devices are not allowed in the plant. Photography is permitted in the tour center. Bags or packages such as knapsacks, luggage and camera bags are not allowed in the facility. Fully enclosed, low-heeled shoes are required. Please notify us if you have disability-related needs.
